Weekly Recap – July 10, 2016

I hope everyone is having a wonder Sunday. Every Sunday I will be linking my weekly recap to The Sunday PostTalk of the Town, Saturday Situation, and Stacking the Shelves! These are amazing blogs, so please skip over and show them some love.

The last month in blogging and booktubing has been very slow. I apologize for not being around much but life has managed to get in the way. All of my scheduled post have been posted and I haven’t found the time to write anything new. I have tons of reviews that are partly started, but never seem to get finished

With school out for the summer I have 4 teenagers at home that have difficulty finding something to occupy their time. Over the next couple of weeks they will be dwindling off to various camps for the summer, which should leave me with more free time.

I’ve also been spending a lot of time looking for employment. Now that the kids are older I figured it was time to get out and spread my wings in the real world…even if it is only part time. I love my children, but being stuck in the house with 4 teenagers that think they all know better is making me lose my sanity. My blog and booktube channel have been a great way to express myself and indulge in something I love, but now that I have less time to do it I need something that takes me out of the house.

Over the last couple of weeks…

The Girls A Clash of Kings (A Song of Ice and Fire, #2) Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, Vol. 2 (Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon Renewal Editions, #2) The Assassin Game The Witches of BlackBrook (Witches of BlackBrook #1) The Second Summer of the Sisterhood (Sisterhood, #2)

I’m reading a lot at the same time right now. I like everything that I’m reading, but they are just not holding my attention. I am reading A Clash of Kings for #ReadASOIAF for the month of July. I have The Girls and The Assassin Game on my kindle…I read them at night depending on the mood I am in. I am also reading The Second Summer of the Sisterhood  for #Pantsalong.

What will I be reading next?

I’m not completely sure what I’ll be reading next. I will be reading the third book in the traveling pants series, but other then that I just might still be reading my current reads.

The Witches of BlackBrook (Witches of BlackBrook #1) American Gods A Devil in Daylight (The Devil in Miss Drake's Class #2) The Christmas Kitten (Polly Parrett Pet-Sitter Cozy Murder Mysteries, #2) Misadventures Of Fatwoman Small Changes, Big Results: 26 simple changes to improve your faith, finances, health, and relationships! ACHIEVE: Find Out Who You Are, What You Really Want, And How To Make It Happen (Book 1 of the High Achievement Handbook) Narcissism Exposed: Your Ultimate Survival Guide to Dealing With Narcissists At Work, In Relationships, and In Life Manipulation Manual: Your Survival Guide for Outwitting Emotional Manipulators and Pathological Liars in Your Relationships (Dark Persuasion Techniques, ... Mind Control, Social Dynamics Book Series) The Fireman A Clash of Kings (A Song of Ice and Fire, #2) Stop the Car Audiobook

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. If you have a weekly post, please leave it down below so I can check it out.

  1. I don’t know how you manage to read those books at the same time Marie 🙂 I can just about cope with a fiction and non-fiction …

Good luck on finding a part-time job. You’ll feel different having something that’s just for you!

Hope you enjoy the peace once your teens are at their summer camps. We break up 20th July for 5 weeks for our summer holidays. So needed! I can’t wait for not being ruled by the clock and going out with friends for lunches and just generally socialising. My days will be so much quieter -yay! Still have training and meetings and handovers etc until then though but it’s within touching distance now 😀

    Thanks for linking #TalkoftheTown

    • I read certain things at different time. I do have more on the go then what U normally like but I got bored of reading The Girls so I started reading a different book. I normally read a physical book during the day, ebook at night, and audiobook when I am doing other things.

  2. 4 teenagers would be a challenge! Hope your reading picks up this week- and I’m impressed by the number of reads you have. I can sometimes do two at one time but that’s probably my limit, otherwise they all run together or I’m like “which one to read?” lol have a nice week!

    • Most of my reads end up being in different formats so I read them at different times. However, this week I got bored with a couple and started new ones which is why there is more then I like. Thanks for stopping by 😀
