Waiting on Wednesday (#4) – June 15, 2016

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill @Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

Harry Potter and the Cursed ChildBased on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, a new play by Jack Thorne, is the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage. It will receive its world premiere in London’s West End on 30th July 2016

It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband, and father of three school-age children.

While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes darkness comes from unexpected places.

RELEASE DATE: JULY 31, 2016

Why am I excited?

I love Harry Potter…that is why! I am interested in how this is put together. Can something be pulled off that Harry Potter fans will enjoy. And what does Harry’s life consist of after the one chapter information dump in the last book.

Is this book on your TBR? What new release are you anticipating?

  1. I have seen this book around blogoshpere. It seems to be one of the most anticipated books of the year. Unfortunately, I have never read any HP. I hope you get the copy soon and that it meets your expectation.
